What I Wish I Knew When I Was Learning VMware

Learning a new technology can seem daunting at first. This year marks 10 years of me working with VMware technologies, which blows my mind. When I was first learning VMware, I was just like anyone …

Italy VMUG UserCon 2017 – Don’t miss it!

Here we are again at a new VMUG UserCon in Milan.
Everytime this event gives me good vibrations and makes me feel proud to join this amazing team, working hard the whole year to put together the best technology partners and professional speakers (I’m not among them – just trying to reach that “Olimpo”).
I know that this is part of the “big design” made of global users, local events together with online events, but this is an important opportunity for Italy to show the tech level we reached.

And I’m pleased to realize that interested and involved perople is increasing, year after year. Our companies, our CTOs, our IT teams are no more visionary when talikng to thei customers (or board) about virtualization, about SDDC, about transforming the old, dark and dirty Datacenters in centers of excellence.
This makes me proud (did I tell it already?) to be part of this event, again, attending the proposed sessions and presenting my own this year too.
So, what I say: come and see, it’s free, come not because of my session, instead because of all the knowledge that all these guys are ready to share.
If you still didn’t, you’re in time, register now, you won’t regret!
See you there, c’mon!

Abstract, Automate & Secure — From Data Center…

It feels like only yesterday when we started our journey into networking at VMware. Even from the early beginnings in 2011, it became clear to some of us that the abstraction and operations model of virtualization for compute and memory, which completely transformed the modern data center, was something we needed to extend to networking. We understood that that a network based on software and abstraction in the long run would extend beyond our customers’ data centers to public clouds and ultimately to the Edge.
